Hello Everyone,

After I guess about a 1 - 2 year hiatus I have decided to come back to Simcountry just to see how things are going. I haven't decided whether I'm going to play some more or not.

Some of you, such as Berlioz might remember me as Sneeked (owning a number 2 CEO and about 25 countries). I also had a good friend Fidd who owned about the same number of countries maybe a few more. I was here during the infamous Girls vs. Juggernaut war, which I am surprised has now become legendary, we were just trying to have a little fun.

Fidd and I got bored of the same old thing in SimCountry and decided to create two new countries "Tiny Princess" and "Girl Power" and dominate Berlioz and others just to have a little fun. I never would have thought that would become such a big deal.

Oddly enough after the war we decided to leave SimCountry altogether and I'm thinking about starting up again. I figured before I started playing again I should come clear about the joke because we ruined about 10 of Berlioz's countries, and it was a great time. Not that I'd try that again, but it's good to mention it, to let people know that I'm not a Noob.

Now for the real meaningful part of my post. What's changed in the last few years, how do things work now and it is worth it for me to come back? I keep reading about resets, they had always talked about it before I left. Did they start doing resets? Is GR any better now, or does it still suck as well?

yes, you have 4 months with your country then it's reset.

attack limits make war all but impossible, w3c is threatning to change the war limits but haven't done jack in that department.

I don't know anything about GR except it's over priced and not worth a damn....IMO anyways.

there are very few active players in the world, most are not considered veteran.

I lead a federation called "the knight who say knee" that has recruited some of the best players in the game in both war and economy. we have lots of info available. check it out if you like, look up our federation and find the link to our homepage in the idealogy part.

Interesting, so does that mean the rank starts over every four months as well? Does that happen to CEO's too?

Your awaited to prove what you said and welcomed too [New Enterprise], but why don't you use some board nick more specific to your old nicks [?] ... you know, my pets questions never stop :):)
Meantime our game has developed a Tool / Overview Guide Site called TNN (..."simcountry's news agency"), try to find a link to it in the General "Hey-Ups:)Talks" section ... seek for an article title from this agency, on this boards ... and in TNN you'll get to Web Links (...is on the bar) and open the "SimSpyder" tool :) ... there you'll find at the "New Countries / Newbie Countries" the best country not yet registered which you'd like to play ... after comparing it with others! Check around ...
Is any private simcountry (or similares) forum from your age still hot?

The TNN site is http://tnn.simnews.ashst.com
If you get a gold credit, you might want to explore GR. Resets are only on the free worlds, and GR has more features. You can transfer a country from a free world to GR, but GR seems to be the retirement home of the veterans. You missed the great GR world war in January, but when w3c introduced peaceful countries in the middle of the war, it seems to have gotten pretty boring there.

Every country with a president gets reset 4 months after the president registers a country, and every four months thereafter, provided it still has a president. All slaves are lost, and the country pretty much gets screwed (you lose all your money, population-->8million, automation parameters go awry, ...). The only things not reset are corps. So CEOs are immune to the direct effect of resets. If you have an economically strong country, you can get the money back in a quick hurry, which seems to be the best way of minimizing the effects of resets.

The Bulletin Board was (unfortunately) cleared about a month ago. Now, no posts older than 7 months exist. Also seems that after a certain number of posts, threads are truncated, too.

The role playing thread that the Girls vs. Juggernaut war played out on still exists, but it has nothing from that era anymore :(

Anyway, that (and what the people above have said) is most of what's new around here.

In the TNN site you'll notice that we have a chatfarm for our simfarmers ... unfortunately empty most of the time, but it's still a possibility to fix our dates there :)
...(where ... a dislexial Artif...Intel... Machine still "chats" to output "dialogues" following our input in the key-motherboards of our dislaxzy fingers ... but it's just a symptome, not a syndhrome, yet).

Sorry for the downtime. We're in the queue to have our account moved to a new server (same domain, just a different physical server). Should be back up soon.

I was worried that you could not pay anymore for that board / domain name ... this way we could lose the [...idea of] "Players's Staff Halls" recruiting friends of simcountry.

Hello Girl Power !

I`ll remember such countries as Cutie Pie and some other cutie countries.

But it was really long time ago and by the change of rules of sc, you are noob

World wide war in GR was great time. One small fed challenged the rest of the world and only with help of jozi some of the greatest empires survived. ( 3 times actually )

But welcome back.
